1) Use sharp scissors to cut the piece off the decal
paper containing the decal.
2) Submerse the piece of taper in warm water. Do not
use hot water except when you are using the type Z bake on decal paper.
3) After about 12-15 seconds or when the film begins
to feel loose put the piece of paper on the item and slide the Paper
from under the decal film leaving the decal film on top of the item.
YOU MUST use a quality decal squeegee AND mounting
fluid to ensure professional results. Using just you finger and paper
towel will results in poor results.
The decal squeegee removes ALL water and air bubbles
from under the decal and then when the decal dries it is firmly adheres
to the substrate. If you skip this step you have not applied the decal
in a correct way.
It is important to use clear coat that is compatible
with the decal paper. Some customers report having success with off the
shelf "inexpensive" clear acryl aerosol. But we strongly recommend using
only Papilio TM clear fixative. Please keep this in mined if you fail to
use our paper successfully using some other clear coat product.
